Topic: Scratching with Virtual DJ 7?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I've got Stanton T62's with Serato time code and an American Audio Versaport interface with Virtual DJ 7.

When I go to scratch on the turntables it will work fine for a couple seconds and then it will skip to a random point in the song close to where I'm scratching. I've tried new needles, new control vinyls, new interface and I keep getting this problem. Does it have something to do with Virtual DJ itself? Any ideas on what my problem could be?

Try switching to either "Smart or Relative" . Sounds like you have it set to Absolute.

Hope that helps

I tried that, still same results. Thanks for the help though. Any other ideas?

Can you take a screen shot of your screen with the green circles on it?

Well you have it on absolute so if your a heavy handed scratcher it will jump like what was described. As far as your signals they look good. I would turn up your slience a little more and try using "Smart" mode and I would say your good to go. And what version are you using??

Let me know
Huey
