Topic: Jumping video with VDJ7 and Mac

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I just purchased VDJ 7, and this is my first VDJ ever, and I love it. I especially love how it controls video and audio together. One way I use it is to project digital monograms onto dance floors - using the slideshow plugin (thanks to your help). Periodically, my clients want rotating monograms. In the past, I've exported these (created in Keynote) as looping quicktime .MOVs, burned them to DVD and used this with my projector. Now that I have VDJ, I think I can do this without the DVD player.

Here's the problem I've found. When I drop these .MOVs over the deck and play them, they play (rotate) for a few seconds, then freeze, then start up again. I actually shouldn't say they freeze, but the motion stops. When it does continue, it picks up at a later point in the video as if it were still playing.

It almost seems like a memory issue - or some other processor-limiting issue. Probably not, though. I'm using a Macbook pro running OSX 10.6.4, 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 RAM.

Thoughts?

Thanks
Jeff
