WOW! you have have really outdone yourselves with this one. V7 is rock solid and the audio engine is up to par with the windows version, no more gallop effect or skipped beats when you speed up or slow down a song. Using a Ns7 I have seen some improvement as well, Works very nicely with multiple decks

Just wanted to say THANK YOU for the great up date, and that the hard work put into this version has not gone unnoticed.

I updated to VDJ 7 and I'm still having the same issues I had before; warble-ee sound, scratching sounds horrible. What are the specs on your Mac and are there any new drivers I need to be aware of?

I have one of the newer MacBook Pro's. I will try out the Ns7 a bit longer to see if the sound wobbles. It would happen almost instantly in v6, but seems to be working so far on v7.As far as scratching goes, I do not do much of it so I can not really comment on that. Will keep ya posted..
 
Hi. Now here is my question for v7.

And there is a new Version again... Is there the chance to choose my Mic source, now? On the demo i cant see one. And i also always dont see to choose the dropdown in the Recording Config... How many Versions i have to wait, before it will possible?

And also i dont found any config vars, that the playing title can be sent to the Nicecast...
Because Nice cast is one of Dozen Software, where i can choose my Soundcard output AND INPUT. And it have a Mic Voice over Plugin. But without title name Transfer i cant use it.

So what about it, now?

This issue immediately cropped up when I adjusted the platter sensitivity. This has to do with the virtual decks being controlled by the platter, which might speed up or slow down in very slight increments under certain circumstances. VDJ will detect these minute changes in RPM and interpret them as you wanting to speed up or slow down the song. The warbling can be negated (or removed entirely) by decreasing the VDJ7's sensitivity of the NS7's platter movement through Config > Options > Jog Sensitivity. You can also double tap the motor toggle button on the NS7 and usually that will remove the warbling for the duration of a song.

After all the support I've got on this forum you're the first person who's even mentioned the jog sensitivity, and it totally makes sense that jog sensitivity might play a role. I'll try adjusting tonight and let you know how it turns out. Thanks!
 
No luck, just like before the following happens; load a track and sound is warble-ee but scratching is bang-on, turn motor off warble-ee sound goes away, turn motor back on and the sound is still warble free but the scratching sounds like crap and is inaccurate. Oh well, I tried.
 
If that didn't help, that might suggest the problem isn't coming from VDJ7, but from the NS7's internal sound card. Is it possible to record your speaker's output and upload it to soundcloud.com or some other file hosting service? I might have a better handle on what's going on if I can hear the sound you're describing. I want to know if it's anything like what I've experienced.

Here are some troubleshooting factors to consider:
1. Replace the XLR cables (or RCA cables if applicable) that go out from the NS7 to your Amp/Speakers
2. Adjust the performance/quality sliders to see if this makes any difference.
3. Is the warbling warped sound also present while using other programs like Serato Itch?
4. If possible, plug an alternate PC loaded with the NS7's drivers / VDJ7 into the NS7 and see if it replicates the same issue.

I'll try to think of other troubleshooting ideas tonight.
 
Just to clarify I'm using Numark V7's on a Mac. I've tried everything and I think it just comes down to my 4 year old MacBook not being up to par. Thanks anyways.
 
I really don't think that's the issue. I have a Macbook Pro (a year old) and I'm getting a distortion sound that I can't quite get rid of except when I do the exact procedure you describe. Trying to find out what's going on.
 
I should mention that the sound quality when using ITCH is perfect. My Macbook specs are 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4 gigs or RAM.
 
The only problem I am experiencing with VDJ7 is when I'm spinning videos. If the CPU meter goes into the red the video out cuts out and I have to reset it. If I wait and make sure the video is completely loaded it's works ok but not as seem less as VDJ6.1.2. I'm using a MacBook Pro with the i7 processor and 4 GB RAM, shouldn't have any problems what so ever. Do you have a solution for me? Installing a fresh copy after removing all files from the HD and see if it helps.
 
Fresh install fixed the problem, plugged the 4TB external in with the FireWire 800 and still no problems scratching or with any effects. started playing the video as soon as I dropped it, played without any problems and the video feed to my lcd tv in my living room was still up. totally fixed the problem.
