Hey Guys I am currently running virtual dj with an esi wami rack 24 sound card it was discontinued about ten years ago but still has full customer support available. A friend has asked me to upgrade to windows 7 to make my computer run more stable as I do still have the odd lockup problem in vdj6.1 pro. I see that there is a new version available now is it more stable on windows 7. also what controller do you guys recommend I am mainly just running karaoke shows but want to start out doing a bit more DJ at my clubs to help keep people up on the dance floor. I am looking at getting the Hercules RMX controlller as it has got the built in sound card and seems to have pretty good support to run flawlessley on windows 7. Would this card work fine for me I am a little worried as people on here have said that it can be quite noisey running on the usb ports, I have tried a few othe usb cards with no problems. Any help would be really appreciated.
Here are the specs for my computer
2.9GHz quad core cpu and gigabyte motherboard
runnning window Xp pro and 4gb of ram.
I am also running virtual dj 6.1 pro.
Kind Regards
Brad

Hey Brad,
I would recommend waiting on the controller because there are some nice ones coming out very soon.
Hercules 4MX
Denon MC6000
Traktor S4
All have audio interfaces built in.
Your patients shall be rewarded...

Only one problem guys. I am on a pretty tight budget. Will the Hercules RMX console be fine for smaller gigs, I see most people say that it is excellent I currently use an ESI sound card and no controller is the sound quality on the RMX going to disappoint me or is it still pretty good and what is the difference between the RMX and the MK4 I know that the MK4 doesn't have gain knobs which is rather annoying but both controllers are quite expensive here in NZ are the sound cards the same. Is there anything else that you could recommend for me to look at. My budget is under 1000NZ
Kind Regards
Brad.
