Topic: Adding microphone to setup

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Evening all,

Got my usual setup going from my PC to broadcast over the www.

However......

I use the onboard soundcard to run the master, a USB soundcard to run the cue but the addition of a mic for presenting is an issue.

How do I get a mic in the mix?

I had the same prob recording a demo so I had to do the mix then go back and voiceover it after.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Bump

There is no mic input on the current version of VDJ.

Solution: Use a profession sound card that has a mic input, or use a USB mixer.

OK.

So would it matter if I ran the house of cue from the soundcard that has a mic input? I would have thought that would have the same result if VDJ isn't setup to recognise a mic input from a soundcard?

Thanks

Check the releasenotes on V7..... Your answer is there ;)

checkout the new user guide for v7....

Checked out. Marvelous.

Any recommendations for an ASIO card to do the job for under £70?!

On the other hand, my UCA202 did the job. Can I not just get another like it with a mic input? It was only £20!

seems very cheap ? no windows 7 ........
