Topic: Noise Effect (like the Pioneer DJM-2000) - Page: 1

This part of topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information

Hello together!

The Pioneer DJM-2000 has got an effect that generates a noise sound like an "uplifter" in electronic music.
There are so much plugins for Virtual Dj (and Virtual Vinyl).
But no plugin like a noise generator...

Could someone create a plugin like this?
Maybe with a slider for the frequency, the volume, or a setting to automatically lift up the noise by a number of beats.
And of curse a slider to performe manually.

And it would be very good if the effect is not bound on a playing deck...
So that it could be used as an independent effect without playing music in the background.

Hope someone could make it real...
Thank you!! ;)

Do you mean this one?

That's already partially done with my Gates effect, so I can publish a derived FX with only that filtered white noise ;-)

Hey!!

Yes I mean this one!
I hoped that you would read it, because I work with your effects only!
That's truly no joke... I think your plugins are the best!
I'm an a little bit more famous dj in Germany and GB...
I mean I worked on dropping my name in the world wide scene...
(But everyone is kidding about me, because I'm playing with virtual dj) xD
So if you could publish a plugin like this you would make me a big favor!!
Maybe we could work together...
Like maybe I could help you to make the plugin more efficient or refine it...
How long would you need to program a effect like this??

On the same basis a plugin like the way the equaliser mixing on the pioneer would also be awesome

Each time I release a new or updated plugin, I always refine my "C++ FX library". As for now, it might take only a few days on&off (after university), since I already have the basic modules to implement such a plugin.

As far as I can see form the DJM-2000 video, the main requirements may be:
_ a slider to change the band-pass filter center frequency
_ a slider to change the band-pass filter bell width
_ an optional sweeping LFO frequency slider, with enable button and quantization switch

I think this would be enough. As written before, if you want to execute gating just use the Gates effect.

I don't get that. Do you mean the EQ effect on the DJM-800? That would be damn tricky to implement, since it involves two decks and not just one...

On the DJM-2000 its only one potentiometer...
But on the DJM-2000 you cant set the frequency of the noise...
So this would be a good piont to increase...
But what I would please you for is:
KEEP IT SIMPLE! Please!
So its just one slider that filters a noise effect from a Low-Pass filter to a Hi-Pass Filter...
The other things should be useful addition, but there are some effetcs where the one thing doesn't work with another setting
that you have to do first... And there always must be a playing deck... Thats very bad...
So if you could get this things to work it would be awesome!!!
Thank you!

No Cyder has nothing to do with that.

Converting plugins for Mac is at the charge of its author but I can sometimes help.

As you can read above the effect already exists, but you can't have it because you don't own a valid licence. If you want it, buy the program so that you can support developers, in order to make better products.

I think what DJJamesLake was talking about is similar to what's on my Pioneer DJM-909, most of the effects can be isolated to/from high, mids or lows specifically or in combination on 1 channel. Does that even make sense? I can choose to have the effect affect each band (high, mid, low) separately or in combination. I hope that makes sense...

In any case, thanks for the plug-in Tex!! Cant wait to try it out!!
