Topic: Encrypting VDJ Music Files

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hello, just recently had a burglary at my home this past week and my hard drive with my VDJ music library got stolen.

Is there any way to "encrypt" your music files to secure your library?? Besides using Windows to encrypt the files?

Would appreciate your ideas.

Thanks, Jeff Pino

Use Truecrypt to decrypt your external Music storage. Before using it you have to enter your secret password.

Thanks for the info on "the encryption", I sure do appreciate it.

I do have my original music library stored on my server, just am aggravated my work hard drive was stolen and my music went along with it..especially after paying alot for my music to not be shared..did get word from the local police dept. the fingerprints found at my home have been matched and been submitted to the OSBI (Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation)..am waiting on my home owners Insurance to settle my claim for the other items stolen.
