Forum: Old versions

Topic: VDJ 6.1.2 & OSX 10.6.4

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi Guys,

Just used the trial versions on both windows 7 pro and osx 10.6.4 snow leopard.

I've used scratch live for the last few years but really like virtual dj because it works so well with my pioneer djm 5000 and mep 7000.

The only problem I have is when using VDJ in OSX, it does not detect my Scratch Live crates - does anyone else have this problem?
The partition with osx on it is formatted with HFS, as is the partition with all my music - the windows partiton is running under boot camp formatted in ntfs.

It works no problem in windows 7, I can see all my crates. I would use that only for pioneer dont have x64 drivers for the djm 5000 yet.

That leaves OSX the only option for me, so can anyone help me out here?
Would like to make the change asap!

Thanks,
Paddy

come on guys, someone else must have this problem?

I've read through previous posts where people have had this problem but no one seems to have a solution....

I use i-tunes playlists as crates so if you can import your crates or sets to playlists in i-tunes, VDJ can browse i-tunes. hope this helps. Good luck.

I also found that read problem between NTFS or Mac Journeled. I use an external formatted in Fat32 & for the most part this prob was solved however I still have some id3 tag reading issues on a few files.

With Virtual DJ & the MEP-7000 you do not need the serato box and thats why it will not work. I use the MEP with VDJ and it works great.

@ paddyv ,,,,, I'm also having this issue and can't seem to find a solution. have you been able to resolve this issue?
