Looked for an existing topic but couldnt find anything.
Im having this really annoying problem where when i press play often the track will not play from the actual cue point but half a beat earlier or later. I have to constantly adjust with the jog wheels and its starting to really piss me off especially when i want to make drops and cuts.
Im pretty sure i have beat lock off and i have mapped the play button not to drop it on the beat.

If you go to the Pro skin, and look above the play button, you'll see a small padlock. That's the smart play button. Disabling this should solve the problem. It caught me out when I first started using Virtual DJ. It also appears on the video skin on the bottom toggle switch of the left and right player window
