Topic: Timecoded before I buy

Hi everyone i have been looking at timecoded setups and i am thinking of getting one, my set up at the moment consist of

2 X technics 1210s
DJX 700 Mixer
And PC

i know how it all works like and do the setup but can someone please explane how the pitch controller work? do i use the on the decks or on the software?

the components i been looking at are

1 x Maya 44
2 x Rane Scratch Version 2 Vinly

running through Vdj 6 Pro.

You can use the one on the decks, I think you can also use the one on the software but you may have to change a setting. I think the setting is found under config >> sound setup >> timecode config >> debug >> disable pitch. I like to use the software's pitch fader because you get to see the changes in your BPM, I dont think the BPM info changes when your using the turntables pitch fader. I may be wrong since I haven't used timecodes in a while.
 

Yes you can use the pitch faders on your decks. And yes pitch changes will show as bpm changes and software pitch fader movement.
