No, you don't have to. You can plug the headphones into the RMX.

On the other hand, can you tell me what version of Virtual DJ you are using and what build it is. You can find this by going to 'Set Up' and then going to 'Info'

version 6.1

And Build number

Example: (b***)

If you register your software, you'll get more updates, 6.1 isn't the newest. Why haven't you done this?

b247

Register your software, assuming its a legal version right? And then go to the downloads page and there you'll find a newer version. Download this and may help your problem.

In the "2 soundcards" configuration, VDJ uses the 1st output pair of each soundcard.

However, since the headphone output of the Rmx is linked to Output 3/4, it will not be possible to use the headphone in this configuration.

Save yourself some trouble and just connect everything to the Rmx.

hi I was wondering how you upgrade your virtual dj software to a better version. I am currently using a hercules rmx with the version of vdj tht comes with it ive been told i can upgrade but im not sure how. Help please.
