Download the registry tool and click "speed load"
That should sort the problem!

I will try that. Weird because it loads videos quickly but mp3s take forever.

so here's the thing:
i use the most insanely stable version of vdj ( v3.4 - under the heading of "if it ain't broke dont fix it!") at work and use our other club as the "test bed" for newer versions of vdj. we used to have the same problem of mp3's loading really slowly until i tried to listen to a file that the manager had me load in - it was supposed to be an audio file from itunes - i right clicked on it and hit "listen" to see what it was/sounded like - it sounded like nothing cause it wouldnt play. but when i activated videos to play some and then loaded in an mp3 - it loaded quick. so now i find that same file every night we're doing videos and preview it and the mp3 files load nice and fast.
weird huh?
and why am i still using v3.4 after all these years at the main club? in the last year i have only had 1 problem with it. one. and at the other club next door? they're constantly having issues - audio skips, video playback issues, and a number of freezes without the crash reports even appearing.

Same thing here I have noticed that mp3s will load slow only while video is activated & the mp3 doesn't have a video linked to it.
disabling/reenabling video will remedy the problem but if your doing a mixed set it kinda is a pain... I will try the speed load tonight.

I tried the speed load last night and it didnt seem to make a difference on the slow load of mp3's. Did it work for any of you?

I seems to fix the problem, The MP3 still load a little slower than with video disabled but its much better than before and videos load faster also!!
