I'm looking for a mixer to use with my timecode's
I want something with plenty of effects buttons on it (That can be mapped?) I'm looking for a lopp in and loop out button and also has EQ's on it that can be adjusted.
I have a RMX at the moment, but the cross fader for scratching is awful, so i'm looking for something that will last and is good quality.
I may perhaps plug the RMX into it too so i can use the Jog wheels for CUEING.
Price isn't a issue really. I don't want to spend hundreds of pounds on a mixer, but must be reasonable priced and good quality.
Any suggestions would be great
Thanks
Dan

I find this statement somewhat contradicting, but if price really isn't an issue the Denon DN-X1600 will serve all your needs.

A midi mixer would control things on your screen
The only one i can find in your price bracket NEW is this one http://www.htfr.com/more-info/MR222399
There of course would be 2nd hand options available through ebay and other sites.

Thanks DjTouchDan
As i'm not 100% sure exatly what mixer dose what. I'm assuming a 2 channel mixer would allow for 2 decks? A 3 channel mixer would allow for 2 decks and my hercules to be pluged into the back?
Can certian mixers have their effects button's remapped on VDJ? This is what i'm after.
Thanks

I just spoke to a very very helpful guy at Westenddj.co.uk.
I told him that i was looking for a mixer that i can scratch with, has effects buttons and very good quality. I told him that i would like to use my RMX along side the mixer as a secondry mixer because it has jog wheels that are great for fast forwarding songs, 6 effects buttons and i can use it to scroll through songs.
He said it is possible for all this to work together, but only with a 4 in and 4 out soundcard?, like a Maya 44.
He said as the RMX will have to be plugged into the 4/4 soundcard, along with the 2 decks and mixer for it all to work?
He seemed to know what he was talking about, but can someone confirm this?
On the other hand, i said forget about the RMX and all i want is a Mixer. He sugested a Nuo 2.0. It met all my criterias he said.
Could anyone shed some light on this.

I use an Ecler NUO4 and i love it, i wish it had a few more knobs and buttons though. But i would say if your gonna spend that kind of money get a Korg Zero 4. It has the soundcard built in unlike the Ecler. Also there are two types of NUO 4's, the one you want has the midi strip down the center. Also with that Behringer you can't use the crossfader for both video and audio at the sametime. Im not at home right now but ill post a picture of the NUO you want.
Hope that helps some what, lol

Thanks Huey,
This still doesn't really answer my question about will i need a 3 channel mixer to work with my RMX, and use my RMX as the sound card?

That's why i said go with the Korg Zero4 then you can just ditch the RMX altogether. That mixer has the soundcard built in and its 4channels.

£750 :O
Realistic, i am thinking about spending £200 - £300 TOPS!
I understand you get what you pay for but i am only a bedroom DJ and perhaps will do the odd house party here and there.
Thanks

Not sure about the equivalent in pounds, but the Behringer DDM4000 is likely the only unit in the only unit in your price range that can get remotely close to doing what you are asking.

Awesome
So could you suggest me one that only has EQ's and can use my RMX with. I'll use the RMX for the effects/ samples.
Thanks so much
Dan

The DDM 4000 will allow you to EQ (as it is an external mixer) plus custom map most of the sliders, buttons, and knobs to do whatever you want them to do. And you can STILL use the RMX alongside of that.

Er.....why have you stuck your message on the end of a thread that's:
More than a year old
Has got nothing to do with what you're asking
