Topic: Virtual dj database doc XML.[SOLVED]

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I had virtual dj database doc in C:\... I moved it to C:\Users\User\Documents\VirtualDJ, did all sorts.
I got the message "if you rename this file it may become unusable".. so i renamed it, and now doesn't work.

How can i fix this?

Why did you move it? What was its full name?

sorry.. that is kinda funny.. message pops up telling you not to rename the file.... so you do...
What did you rename it too? did you also rename the extension? IE: .XML ??
 
It sounds like you have accidentally renamed the database file to something else and/or changed its extension (.xml)

Rename it back to the following:

VirtualDJ Database v6.xml

(If you can't see the extension of the file, go to the Windows Control Panel -> Folder options to enable this. Turn this off again afterwards.)

The main database should be located in My Documents\VirtualDJ and databases on external drives should be in the root of each drive (E.g: F:\)

Fixed.
I named it VirtualDJ database v6,XML with the "," in it.

now that you know the importance of those databases..
make sure you do a backup of them.. (and include them with any backups you do of your music.)
