is it an easy process using the software to map keys to your own preference using the software.
Looked at DEX,DJDECKS and this, not really into videos but the actual record case behaiviour and the beat matching of VDJ is the best i have found.

The HC4500 has good basic mapping built in to VDJ6, however it can be greatly expanded to do what you want, for example using the top buttons as hotstarts, loops, effects etc. I wouldn't say the mapping is easy but there are users on this forum who can help. I have used the HC4500 with VDJ for a while now and it is an excellent combination. Any specific questions please ask. Give the trial version a go as it is fully configurable during the trial period. Basic mapping is very easy; you can press the button on the controller and then click the button on the skin that you want to map the controller button to do.
More advanced mapping obviously requires a bit more skill but as has already been said plenty of help is available :)
