So i have virutal DJ, but i didnt buy it, a friend who bought it set it up for me, is there anyway i can still get effects, samples etc.??

The simple answer here is NO. You have to buy your own copy and then register it here. You should do though cause they have a lot to offer here.

Your friend should not be sharing his install with you either.
