Topic: version 6.1 wont update

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I have downloaded version 6.1 for Mac and installed successfully but when i open up virtual dj it still shows as being 5.2, I have also been to info in VDJ where it also says 5.2 and if i click on check for updates it says my software is already updated. I have restarted aswell but without success

Any ideas?

Do a spotlight search, my guess is that it was installed in somewhere else on your hard drive. By default it should install in your documents folder but maybe your 5.2 version isn't in the documents folder yet that is where you expected the upgrade to end up.
 
Removed VDJ completely from Mac then downloaded, 6.1 now functioning fine
 
ive seen this before on my machine
check in your app folder you will find 2 vdj installs
