Topic: Good DJ gear?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I'm a young noob looking for some good sets to get me started. I really only need low-medium end products, because cost is a big factor. I'm going to be using MP3 and MP4 files, so USB turntables are probably what I'm looking for. I will be using a mac.

Can anyone suggest a kit, or individual products, that might be of good use, and a cheap price for me?

Thank you for your time.

These 2 will be good for you... The Numark Mix Deck or the American Audio VMS4.

Thanks, those look excellent!

If you can afford the mixdeck you'll be laughing: it does CDs, usb memory sticks and hard drives, ipods and will do MIDI to run virtual DJ too!

^ Yes, although I don't think I would have much of a use for that, besides @ house parties (mayb) playing peeps Ipods as a joke...

It's usually for 900, but I was able to find it for 700. I think that I will go with the other one tho. I like the price better :)
