Has anyone else bought this controller and has it working with VDJ on a Mac?
I have a 13" 2.4ghz dual core MacBookPro with 4 gigs of ram and use it with VDJ, Serato ScratchLive, and Serato Itch with very good results.
I just picked up the Ion Discover DJ controller and tried to use it with VDJ 6.1, but the program does not see the controller as a native one. I can map functions to the units controls, but shouldn't the new version see the unit and use the proper map automatically?
The unit has a sticker on the bottom with "April 2010" on it. Could there be a firmware difference with the newer models?
Also, when I have the "Show connected hardware only" selection on in the Mapper tab in the config screen, I have the Mapper for the Denon HC-1000S on the drop down list along with Keyboard and Standard wrapper. Is this a default mapper selection?
The unit works fine with the packaged software (Mix Vibes Cross Dj), but I bought it because it was listed as a supported controller for VDJ.
I posted this info in the Mac support forum earlier today, but thought about it and figured maybe it should be in this forum instead.

Sending Controller and Skins to no license users is not allowed. Sorry.
Maybe with the next upcoming Demo Version.

It's because this add-on is obsolete and no-longer available.
This topic is nearly 2 years old and the Discover DJ is natively supported by the latest VirtualDJ Pro v7.0.5b.
No custom mapper is necessary. Please download the latest VirtualDJ Pro from http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html
