$0 for the video fx (cube , sbdj scroller , FireText free plugin)
$0 for the samples
$0 for the sound fx (Classic Eq thanx Norway for the referral)
$0 for the forum (don't forget the radio)

that's what it costs me per month

as you can see my business is very VDJ centric

hey staffy , thanks for joining the excitement !!

just recently i was writing my check for my private health insurance (568$ !@#$%^&*) which i can easily afford

because i'm FABULOUSLY WELL TO DO !! and lamenting that it wasn't a check for a convertible Mercedes instead ......


and i started totalling up all my bills

apparently a low month for me is probably about $300 for all the dj stuff

and a bad month could go as high as maybe $450 ......

that doesn't include replacing the equipment that occasionally craps out on ya .....

Don't forget to add $50 storage for equipment, insurance (business and vehicle at $100 each), $40 gas to and from gigs, $10 batteries for the wireless mics, $50 month for karaoke songs, $100 month for advertising, business cards and other printing.....that's why we can't do all those wonderful gigs people keep asking us to do "for exposure"!

$0 for pretty much anything in the building that i have to use cause i tell them i need it. and yes i have to make my case for it but they do listen.

flip side
$4 for the generic zantac - grrrrr
$3 for the 3-pack of rolaids - yes they do stress me the hell out
$5 a night for the cans of AMP - it's country most of the night = zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....
$7-14 a night for the smokes - same as above.

there really are times when its good to be a resident in a club like this, but ya still gotta put up with all the crap they dish out, let alone what you get from the customers, so i dunno... does it even out?
 
love it guys.before i dish anything for my dj stuff i have to pay maintinance for 4 yes 4 brats lol.2 jobs no social life and headaches from exs.then of course rent smokes prostitues ect lol.you wana swap

i've tried playing stuff to piss them off - played rodney carringtons "show them to me" and they danced to it instead of leaving. played "are you lonesome tonight" for all the people goin home by themselves - they danced to it.

of course that same week i played a george strait song at the end of the night and they all left... go figure.

i just have a really weird crowd sometimes.

which is a fairly unusual selection at a strip club........

what happens? nobody leaves ..... but the staff , including the general mgr start singing along .......

next i turn off a coupla tv's .... i don't ask if it's ok , i just turn off tv's .....and i play "watching scotty grow " the staff doesn't

know the words to this one as well , so less singing ..... (no accounting for taste) ......???????? i mean , that's some

kinda music there ....what i'm shooting for is some customer to get one of those permanent white streaks in his hair.....

fairly hard to explain to the wife or GF .......and if necessary i proceed to red peter's "closing song" which

the staff knows the words to this one well ,

partly because it's obscene
 
this is turning into a "how do ya chase em out so we can go home" thread. and i had to do that on sunday night.

grabbed the mic and told them "remember, the sooner yer outta here the sooner you can get laid."

even that didnt work. had to have the floormen start at the back end of the building and start herding them out. dang holidays.

now we got the fun time - that "we spent all our money for the 4th of july and on rent, so we're all broke" time. i dont wanna go.
 
Dick In a Box always works for me when I need to get them out of the club.
