do you have a timemachine backup?

No.

THe harddrive I used for it slowed my computer down so much I couldn't keep doing it, the last one I have is from over a year ago.

The files don't go to trash do they?

I gotta go got he Mac Store today for sure.

Fortunately I have found all my music on my harddrive. The idiots at the Mac store don't know what the hellthey are talking about.

I will be doing a back up tonite before I got to bed though.

In the defense of the people at the Mac store, if you described your problem to them the same way you described it on this forum I wouldn't have been able to help you either. I don't understand, did you delete your music files from iTunes or did you delete the program iTunes itself? You could have save yourself a trip to the Mac store if you had just simply done a spotlight search for one of your tracks and followed that track's filepath to it's location on the hard drive which in turn would have likely led you to the location of all of your tracks. It's good that you're now backing up your music collection but waiting until after a near catastrophe is not the best approach. You should always keep a back-up of your computer's contents.

Well I told them I deleted my iTunes, just like I said. Sorry it wasn't clear but their attitude about helping me didn't help the situation either.
