Topic: Atomixmp3 "notes/comments data" to VirtualDj Pro

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi,
I have been a longtime user of Atomixmp3 and am considering updating to VirtualDj Pro. I have years and years worth of history notes and comment data for 1,000's of songs on my hard drives. I would like to know if by moving to VDJ Pro from Atomixmp3, will I be able to move, convert or in some manner retain all the years of notes and comments I have manually written in Atomixmp3, on my existing music files? What in general happens when one moves between these 2 software programs? Will I have to start all over with the custom info I had added? Will the data be wiped out or will it be seamless?

Thanks
Mack

PS If I make this software change I will also be moving from PC (Atomixmp3) to MAC (Virtual Dj Pro). Will this cross platform change have any different effect on my existing music than if I was just changing software updating from PC to PC?

raymond, your a moron, get back in your crib.

Mack I'm sure I read somewhere on a similar topic that the guy had to move up through each version, ie, v4 >v5 then to v6, I would seek the advice of Cstoll, Rick or one of the other teamers, if you don't get a reply here I would put a request into support before you proceed.

And as usual, make back ups of your xml files before you go ahead doing anything.

Paul I leveled that post up lol. Brian

Hopefully one of the Company guys or reps will shed light on this. It would surely be a shame to loose more than 7 years of comment data by moving to VDP from their first software, so hopefully they have made this a legacy part of VDP.

thanks Tayla

PS great ideas for making a screen without the high commercial costs for video when Dj'ing.

+1 Taylor. One of the Teamers should be chiming in soon I would hope, good luck! I know you won't regret the upgrade to VDJ Pro provided you can keep your old info built up over the years...

Atomix Production Guys!! WHERE ARE YOU???

Can anyone answer my question about moving from Atomixmp3 software to VDP software, when it comes to my years and years of notes and comments about thousands of my tracks? If I move from Atomixmp3 to VDP WHAT HAPPENS to my history of comments and notes that are present in Atomixmp3? Do they cross over or translate to VDP or? Thanks for your help. The answer will make a big difference as to whether I make the jump to VDP or NOT.

BTW what are the main differences between VD Home, VD LE and VDP. The few differences I see are not options that I really use or figure I will need to use (referring to VDP). All opinions are greatly appreciated.
