Hi all,
Thanks to everyone for a highly useful knowledge source on these boards. I have a confusing issue that I hope someone can help me with. I run VDJ Pro on a Dell XPS M1710, with no crashing issues, via a Hercules RMX console. The VDJ / Hercules setup has rejuvenated my love for mixing and I have secured two new residencies with this setup - very happy bunny!
I have an inconsistent quirk (not sur eif it is a fault or a setup issue I am unaware of) and was hoping someon ehad experienced the same and could help:
When I drag and drop / load a song into one of the decks, 99% of the time it auto-selects the cueing and assigns the relevant jog-wheel perfectly well. Every once in a while though (and I cannot figure out why) it assigns the correct deck but when I manipulate the jog wheel to cue the track, the wheel ends up scratching the track already playing (on the OTHER deck!).
It's not very often but it is embarrassing and I don't have a clue why it's happening. It also makes me VERY nervouse for quite a few tracks afterwards in case it happens again, making me treat my RMX like an unexploded bomb for a while . . .
Can anyone help ? Apologies if this is an entry-level fix that I could have found easily!
Thanks

Do you have the latest drivers and firmware for the console installed? A link to download this can be found on the following page: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Common_Device_Drivers.html
Do you have the latest VirtualDJ v6.1 installed? http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html
Try resetting the mapping back to the factory settings (If you have made your own modifications, make a backup first by copying the mapping file from My Documents\VirtualDJ\Mappers )
Go to CONFIG -> Mappers, choose the Hercules RMX in the drop-down list, then click on the button at the bottom-left of the mappers dialogue box to reset it to the factory default mappings.

Thanks for the help.
I should have said that yes, I have the latest version of both VDJ and RMX software and have made no mapping changes of my own.
I will double check though, thanks for the input.
