Hello everyone

I wanted to ask for an advice from this wonderful community. I plan on getting a mixer and some turntable..I do plan on moving to Pioneer at some point but it s a bit out of my salary range.I was wondering what are good cheap to mid range price turntable and Mixer? . I have in my posession a Hercules MK2 console

I stumbled upon this
http://cgi.ebay.com/American-Audio-CDI-300-DJ-SYSTEM-MP3-2CD-MIXER-Scratch-/270588768519?cmd=ViewItem&pt=DJ_Gear_Lighting&hash=item3f0058f107

Is it any good?

Thank you
Sorel

Check out craigslist. Two 1200's and a mixer with needles could run around 500 bucks used. The ebay setup is ok to start of with.

What state do you live in alex ?

Those American Audio CDI300 are ok, but somewhat old, but they still rock. I used to own a pair not to long ago, but recently sold them and I purchased the American Audio Radius 3000. If you are planning on using them with virtual Dj, they are awesome via the time code. However, I would strongly recommend you to hold on to your money and save a bit more cash and get something like the Radius 3000, or the Pioneer CDJ400, both work amazingly amazing with VDj.

In the other hand, if you want to get started with this dj set, by all means go for it, since they are pretty cool to have to start up with.

I am currently living in Florida.Yes I heard a lot about Pioneer system...I was also thinking about the Hercules Rmx. I have heard a lot of good things about it, Does anyone know if it s better than the Mk2?

The rmx is better than the mk2 - more responsive, better buttons, more space between jogwheels, etc., but there is also some buzz going around about usb bandwidth issues, and I think it uses more of my computer's resources than the mk2 used to. Overall, it's a good all-in-one, expecially on newer computers.
