Topic: Skin Install.. Problem with font?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I installed a few skins today for a "non-tech" buddy of mine running Windows XP. On some of the skins the "Time Remaining/Elapsed" and "BPM/Pitch" figures don't appear.

The skins in question are "Black Sheep" and "Mix Lab"

Any ideas?

With Mix Lab, it may have more to do with the VDJ version being used. If I'm not mistaken, it doesn't get along with vdj 6.x because it was designed for v5.1. It was my favorite skin, but I stopped using it when I upgraded to v6.

As far as Black Sheep goes, this one seems to be compatible with v6. Do the default skins work correctly? You could try and contact the skin's creator, djtouchdan, for advice.

Maybe a moderator can move this topic to the skins forum?

That is strange. Have you tried reinstalling the skin (using the "exe" file)? Sometimes fonts are installed along with the skin.

Is your buddy's version licensed?
 
Yep I tried downloading and installing and yes his version is licensed..
I even tried installing ALL my fonts on his system.. still no luck
 
Default skin works? Any other "missing" text?
 
Yeah.. the default skin works fine.. I haven't noticed anything else missing.
