In response to my own question this netbook works really well with virtual dj and to my surprise i hooked it up to my lg 42 inch flat screen tv and tried a couple of mp4 videos and it also played them well.

I am really impressed with this net book and the atom processor as i thought they would be really slow but they have proved not to be.

The only thing i have noticed is that it takes a lot longer to load a song onto one of the decks with vdj but other than that its quite impressive.

Hi Rob,

I recently tried running VDJ on my Samsung NC10, which has the slightly older/slower Atom N270 and I was amazed that it seems to be able to run full screen video perfectly well. As you say it's a bit slow to load/scan tracks but once they're loaded they play fine. In fact as a test I loaded and played 2 songs in quick succession so it was still scanning both while playing both mixed 50/50, and both were timestretched slightly just to make it work that little bit harder. The scanning was crawling along painfullly slowly, but still managed to stay ahead of the playback lines and everything was playing fine.

I'm not sure I'd want to rely on it as my only source but as a backup or secondary system it's totally usable.

Amazing!

Cheers,
Steve

Well im giving mine a try this friday with a 5 hour session at one of local bars.
The netbook runs near cold with next to no heat coming from it so i could see this being quite reliable so i will report back on satday and let you guys no how it goes

I used my Samsung NC20 in the club (audio only) for months and had no problems whatsoever.

Brilliant little laptop and at 1280 x 800 it is perfect for VDJ.
