Hercules DJ Console MK4 - Review - World premiere

8 years after having created a new standard for compact digital consoles, the first product of this type being HDJC which was released in 2002 and was followed by an enormous sales success of MK2, Hercules updates its production range again with DJ Console MK4, which promises to secure and strengthen its share in the market segment which was created by the company itself.

nice one;)

Well, this seems less like a "review" and more like an extended list of features. I mean...we already know the features obviously.

I mean where's the actual REVIEW? How does it hold up, how does it play on a sound system, how is the "scratching", how does the fader hold up, how good is the fader latency, and so forth.

There's none of that.

If you got a free MK4 just to write that article up, kudos to you sir. I'm not hating. Did you? o_O

See if you can weasel a free NS7 outta Numark.

Anyway, my personal thoughts are I'm not really keen on the entire layout of the MK4. Sure, it's functional but I wouldn't use it for actual gigging.

The MK2 was the best for me, considering its timing and the nature of the controller, by the time the RMX came out there were already better controllers on the market, such as the VCI-100. I thought that Hercules would eventually venture into the pro market, as they were ahead of the game for a while, but I guess they're happy in the lower end of the market.

Steve Sharp will be displaying the MKIV with VDJ at the West Coast YouTube DJs Live convention this Sunday in Moreno Valley, CA

it looks just as plasticky as the MK2!!! it sort ov looks like a toy.
