Hi Folks,

Hopefully this is a super easy one for someone...

I'm not a massive fan of effects, but there are a couple of awesome ones!

Can someone help me identify the effect used in this short clip (at about 3 seconds)

Hmm, thanks beatbreaker..

I checked out the crusher effect, it doesn't really sounds the same?

Could it be anything else?
 
If you mean the springy sound,its a Slap back echo set to a high feedback (for more than one repeat) and fast delay time .set very close together you get the sprigy sound. some Ring modulators give a similar sound though using a different proccess.

shame there's not VDJ effect plugin, I was starting the think it was a highly produced studio effect...

I dont know what the Tracker is talkin about but I can reproduce that same sound in the same song using serato with an effect they have called Crusher. I'm looking for the effect that VDJ has that is basicly the same thing but a different name. BRB

It's a neat effect, really love it! If VDJ has an equevalent, that would be unreal!

theres a Crusher Fx in the Downloads but it doesnt sound like that. Basically you want a fx that layers the sound and plays it back rapidly in multitudes,close together.that includes echos,delays but the method of digital proccessing its allways duplicating what youre listening to. O.k. your Ear interprates each copy or layer as a ring in a spring hence the springy sound.Trust me I might not messed with Serrato but i got 25 plus years messing with Anolog & digital effects. got 2 Racks full of effects plus my Guitar pedal board,midi guitar synth controller, digital & analog synths with effects built-in,plus 2 turntable kits (besides my VDJ setup) 7 turntables ,9 synths,7 guitars,3 way EV cabs , ...10,000 plus Dj Records....he,he
