Well I had a club gig last night and all was well but at the over 4 hours of video & music mixing I started to hear some sort of bells like sounds coming from my head sets, then I realized it was also coming out of the club speaker system. First thoughts maybe a bad song but I never had that ever happen before. Switched over to the next song & the same. Attempted to adjust the club mixer treble, bass, mids of DJM 800 & the same of the Total Control but still was getting the same bells like sounds. Went to back up mode with a CD and the music was clear as it was when I started the gig with VDJ 6.08 using the Total Control with the DJIO.
Shut down VDJ started it back up again and the bells were gone. I have never experienced anything like it & caught me totally off guard.
Has anyone experienced anything similar or may know what could have possibly caused these bell like sounds?
Thanks.
Edwin

Maybe there was a bell sample loaded and you accidently turned it on with a keyboard shortcut...?

@GadgetMan; damn did not think of that but just checked all my samples and none comes close to what I was hearing. Again it was simillar to bells, maybe combined with some distortion. Very hard to explain but if you go to this link http://www.soundjay.com/jingle-bell-sounds-1.html & click Jingle Bell Sound Effect 2 it sounded like that countinously in a faint way but with the music in the club high then you definitely could hear it to include in the headphones. Hope that makes better sense.

Are you sure it sounded that perfect, or did it have some static plus distortion to it? Besides djying with it,did you sue the internet or anything by chance?

@DJ Livstrong; Damn near like that in a faint way but as you put it did have a static distortion sound. Almost like a combo of it all. Also did not use internet.

It's been a while since this post but wanted to mention that I believe may have figured out the sort of bells distortion. Same situation different club. The short version is one of the bartenders came into the booth to get a strobe working in the club. He hit the wrong switch & there was about a 2 second loss of power.
Of course that affected my set up. VDJ sort of froze for about 20-25 sec but music kept on going. I was about to go into backup with the clubs CDJ's but then VDJ started repsonding again. At this point went to get the next song going and that is when I started to hear the same bells like distortion in the head set. I proceeded to bring in the song and sure enough the same started to come out the club speakers. I shifted to the CDJ's and restarted VDJ and the noise was gone.
So I believe the first time it happened I did not notice a change of fluctuation in power but for sure the second time it had to be the sudden power drop and gain.
Any of this make sense or could it just been coincidence? Also, lesson learned for me so what could I use between the main power souce (wall outlet) and my set up to avoid a power drop/fluctuations and affecting VDJ?
Thanks!
