Right, heres how it goes.

On my laptop, I can play two videos, smooth as black ice, and there will not be any problems (ATi Mobility Radeon 9700 in there) however, on my more powerful desktop, playing just 1 video seems rather choppy. (GeForce 5950 Ultra in here).

Just bought a new motherboard (MSI K8N Neo Plat2) and processor (3000+ AMD 64) to repair a previous fault.

I'm starting to wonder whether my graphics card needs replacing, as its been throwing games into a wobbler. stopping and doing all of about 3/4 fps (if im lucky)


also.. playing the vid in something like winamp is spot on.. as smooth as a babies butt!

Any ideas?

try running aquamark on your system to test your graphics card. I'm running an 6600gt just fine on my 64 3000 have you tired hardware mode yet?

yea tried hardware mode, bought me a new gfx card 6600, seems to be better.. it might be the video file, so im going to test out some others sometime.. or maybe my eyes are becoming hazy from the lack of sleep.. i just don't know =P

still a great prog regardless.. originally bought it for the audio aspect.. and video is just a bonus =)

cyder mine is a 6600 and 3000+ ath64 hehe =)
