Hi all
I have been reading up about setting up cdj1000mk3 with timecode (audio8) and think i have most of it set correctly now but still having a few problems.
My setup is VDJ Pro, CDJ1000mk3 2x with a DJM800 mixer and a audio8 soundcard for the timecode. (downloaded and burnt my own timecode CD from website cdj version)
Im manually beat matching (not using virtual dj) with the CDJs (on the pitch slider)
1st just to clarify the CDJ should have master tempo setting (off) and in virtual dj key lock on but pitch lock off... is this correct?
My issue is virtual DJ not responding correctly to my pitch position on the CDJ.. I end up having my pitch slider on the CDJ set very fast but the song in virtual DJ is still playing very slow (If i had the same song playing in the CDJ using a normal CD it would be alot faster!)
any ideas? Are there any other important settings I should be aware of with the above setup?

Master Tempo on the Pioneers should be OFF.
On VirtualDj it doesn't really matter. It's only a metter of taste if you want it on or off.
Also, on the timecode config window check what's your setting for timecodes "Smart/Relative/Absolut" e.t.c.
If it's NOT absolut then what you describe is normal since any time you load a track on virtualdj the current pitch speed of the Pioneer becomes 0 pitch for virtualdj. In other words, if your pioneer has a pitch of +5% and you load a new track on the player the 5% will be 0% for the software.
The ways to avoid this behavior is either to use absolut mode on the timecode config or in the options window to disable "Reset pitch on load" option.
However, in the second case if you use any button like "SYNC" in VDJ the same behavior occurs and your pitch sliders might get out of sync really fast...
In order to "reset" your pitch sliders just return them on the 0 position before loading a new track
