Topic: iMac Setup

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hey all.

Still pretty new to this whole computer thing and also the virtual DJ thing too.

What I need help with is that I have an iMac and I am running VirtualDj with some headphones and using channel A with the left side and channel B with the right side of the headphones. Is there a way where I can use the headphones for cue'ing tracks and have the song playing out of my computer speakers?

I have a stereo I can plug into the computer i think if that makes it any easier.

Cheers,

Clayton

Edd, you could use stereo speakers with that setup with a Y splitter cable.
It all comes down to one this. You must setup VDJ where the CUE comes out one channel and the MAIN out the other channel.

Then plug the left channel to your stereo ( mind you the audio will be mono) with another Y splitter on the amp.

The use the right channel to your headphones. Listen only to the right channel , as the CUE audio will in the RIGHT and the MAIN ( PROGRAM ) will be on the left.

However, may i suggest getting a cheap USB headset and then use VDJ in Dual card sound mode.

This is what I do.
