i'm getting an annoying Popping noise when using either the top, middle or bottom range cross fader. The noise happens consistently at the point where the fader hits the middle point of the fader range. I am using virtual DJ home with the motherboards on board soundcard (SoundMax) with the latest Vistax64 Driver. The noise does NOT occur when music is not being played on either deck.
I have tried -
1. The sound setup suggested on the FAQ (Latency on Auto and the 2 checkboxes unchecked). This did eliminate popping noises at other points on the cross fader's range but not at the middle)
2. An external USB soundcard (Creative Xfi) with settings as per the FAQ ones - identical noise is heard.
Please help! Its driving me nuts!

It might be worth disabling your wi-fi, internet connection and anti-virus software while mixing - this worked for me (Hercules RMX user with VDJ on Win XP)

I tried that and still no joy. VDJ support have been very helpful but i'm running out of options here. Tried latest drivers and playing around with all the sound setup options, latency etc and nothings working. Either I get a series of "rumbling" noises across the whole cross fade or it "pop's" right on the middle of the fade. The later is slightly less annoying but still enough to ruin the sound of my mixes. Unless I can find a solution soon i'll have to look elsewhere for my DJ'ing tool which I don't wan to do as I like all of the VDJ features.

In your sound setup.
Is ''Apply EQ to External Inputs'' checked ?
Mine is unchecked & everything is smooth. It did cause me problem before, so I unchecked it.

Try going to CONFIG -> Sound Setup and disable Safe Mode.
