Topic: FireStudio Card, Latest MacBook Pro, Cue 6.0.7

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

When I use the sound card as a single output the sound is fine, when I use it as Headphones and 2 cards, the headphones from the mac are fine, the FireStudio sound is VERY distorted. I've tried every setting in the FireStudio control software, all of the known settings in the Cue config and in the Audio system prefs. Anyone else having an issue like this?

THANK YOU!

Ok this is annoying as hell... While running a brand new Macbook pro I can not get my Firebox to run in any other setting besides single output... As soon as i split to 4 channels, i get digital noise and distortion... Can somebody please help fix this????

Apple says its a Presonus problem, and Presonus says its Apples problem...

Intel Core i7
4GB Memory
500GB hard drive1
SD card slot
Built-in battery (8-9 hour)2
Intel HD Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M with 512MB

PLEASE HELP!!!

Try using the 4 output card setting instead of the 2 soundcards setting in the sound config

It doesnt work... Audio is fine in single output mode, but as soon as you try to split, it all turns to crap.

plese post a screen shot of your bad settings.

my friend overnighted me his Firebox card. It works on his mac in Cue 6.0.7 and 5.2.1. On mine it doesn't and the only difference is that mine is the new mac that was just released 2 weeks ago

Have you tried to make an aggregate device yet?

No, never heard of doing that... Besides, if i dont have to do this on an older Mac, why would i on a newer machine? Weird thing is, its only VDJ/Cue that i have this problem... The other VJ/DJ software works fine...
