Topic: VDJ 6.0.8 & Pioneer DJM 800 Mapping Question

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Pardon me if this is addressed elsewhere.

I would like the crossfader on my DJM 800 to control the video and sound for my videos playing on VDJ 6.0.8. Has anyone tried this successfully and if so could you share what your VDJ Script was; I and many others would definitely appreciate it, thank you in advance.

Yes it has been address in many ways and in this thread you can see the link to youtube of what it looks like but you will read that it's not the greatest nor recommended as pointed out that the video is general in principal.

If you decide to go further and have other questions check these threads out first they may answer some.

Thank you for the links, they were helpful but didn't directly address the question I had. VDJ 5 is very different from VDJ 6 and what I need is for the DJM 800's crossfader to switch the video as it does the croffader. I just need a recommended code for that.

Assuming that you have it linked to your computer with a MIDI cable, then go to CONFIG -> Mappers, choose Simple MIDI Wrapper in the list and click + (Add)

Move the crossfader on the mixer and then type the following in the Action: box:

video_crossfader
