Topic: Vdj 6.0.7 uses too much of my processor!!!

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

My Computer specs:
Intel P4
Proc. Speed: 2.66 MHz.
RAM: 512 Mb.
Vdj uses between 89% and 100% of processor resources. Is that normal?
Thanks!

My old laptop had a P4 and it ran audio fine but I also had 2gig of ram. It would max out when a song was loaded but they say thats what happens. I couldnt run video, not even close. I would say up your ram and if the doesnt work buy a new lappy. I should ask are you using timecodes? I did and it worked fine.

Yes, that's normal for a single core processor and nothing to worry about.

512mb RAM is a bit tight though!

Also, some skins load Maiximized automatically. Try clicking the restore (Middle) button for screen size. Sometimes the maximized causes the cpu to show high usage.

Or just use an Skin that fits to the resolution of your screen.

Probably yes with those system spec's.

If you are DJ'ing professionally, do yourself a favour a buy a new system.

yeah like others said a P4 is kind of out dated. shit you can get an i3 laptop for around $400 usd for audio.
