Topic: VirtualDJ v6.0.8 - Page: 1

This part of topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information

Hello,

As usual, while we are still actively working on new features for the next major update of VirtualDJ, we will keep releasing the small bug fixes and improvements in regular smaller updates.
As such, we just made a new version, v6.0.8, available to all PRO, BASIC and LE users.

This version continues to enhance the list of natively supported controllers, and significantly improves the response of VirtualDJ when used with motorized wheel controllers (such as Numark NS7 or V7, or Denon S3700 or HS5500).
A few minor bug fixes and improvements have also made their way into this new update.
See the complete list as usual on the history page of the wiki.

You can download version 6.0.8 from your Download Center.

What does "send button-release on midi CC buttons" mean?

it means, some manufacturers chose to send midi slider commands (CC instead of NOTE) for the buttons on their controllers, so we had to adapt the midi engine to work with these configs too.
More specifically, previous versions already allowed for CC buttons, but targetting multiple buttons on the same CC, therefore without release commands. We now found some manufacturers who put one button by CC, so we updated the engine to send button-down and button-up messages on those CC-buttons.

It doesn't have any impact for most end-users, unless you write your own MIDI definition files ;)

any chance to get a "write-to-id3-tag" option soon, so one can write the determined key of a song to the id3-tag?

Please note the original post: This is a very focused release which was able to bring support for new controllers and improve the response on existing controllers with motorised platters - There was no mention of the solving of any video issues in this release.

Please also use the Wishes and new features forum to make requests for future improvements where, if you check, you will see that this has been asked for many times already.

Cheers,

Roy

Thanks for the updates.

But I patiently wait for the leftover sound snippet to be addressed.

Even so, I have several of my friends turned on to VDJ - and LOVE it. :)
