This error message may also occur if you load in VirtualDJ a skin designed for a newer version of VirtualDJ (for example, if you load a skin designed for VirtualDJ 5 in VirtualDJ 3).
Another occurence for this bug is if you have installed VirtualDJ on a non-administrator account, so that the expected skin files are not properly copied in the folder Macintsoh HD > Users > User name > Documents > VirtualDJ > Skins.
Can you Get info on the VirtualDJ folder (Ctrl + Mouse click on VirtualDJ folder > Go to Get Info) and check, in the sharing and permissions, if you have a Read & Write access on VirtualDJ folder?

i have the same problem, "invalid skin file error" and i can 't work put with it. i can't open my virtualdj copy. i didn't understand our explications. anyone can tell me what i have to do step by step? thanks
