1. form two teams or more, have a spoon tied to a long length of string, spoon goes down through the first in lines clothing from top to bottom, then bottom to top alternately down the line.
2. Balloon race, balloon has to be passed from front to back of team, then back to front of line without using their hands or balloon touching the floor, balloon hits the floor it must return to 1st member of team etc.
3. Trash a Truck, go out and get a trucks hub cap, 10 points count per hub cap per team, truck must be travelling at 50mph for it to count though.
4. Hide & seek, get a child of three or under to count to 10,000 (no mistakes) before the game can commence, this normally is a good time filler.
3 & 4 to be played at DJ's discretion.

Musical Statues, Pass the Parcel. Adults love doing these when they have had a couple of glasses of Bubbly.
You could also do human bingo, Print out cards numbered 1 - 35, each person gets a card and have to stand up holding it. You then pull numbers out of a hat and the person with that number sits down and is out. Last one standing wins!
Would be nice to get some little trophies for winners of games too

Quarters? Wait, you said wedding, not frat party. Grab a couple of tricycles.....yes, tricycles. Have the bride and groom race them around a few chairs. Always good for a laugh. Get a long rod, or broom handle, and two new rolls of toilet paper. Have the bride and groom try to unravel them at the same time. Before they start make a short announcement stating "the person who unravels the TP first will wear the pants in the family. So, this is a test." BTW the bride usually wins this game. Also, a few hoola hoops will go a long way.

And if you do the spoon one Tayla suggested, put the spoons in the freezer for 24 hours before hand :)

atf beat me to it: mobilebeat.com has information that would be useful to you. i'm pretty sure there is a section called Wedding University or Wedding College in there. check it out. don't know if you've ever done a wedding before, but playing music is just part of the gig. your interaction with the guests will be a factor in whether you'll pick up any subsequent gigs for your efforts: happy impressed guests = happy-to- pay prospective clients. good luck!

I've done wedding but none that require as much time for games. And thanks for the suggestions. I'm getting back into the private side of things and the upcoming wedding are lets say "out there". My wedding tomorrow is:
He's straight classical
She's straight hip hop
he's in his fifties
she's in her fourties
His side of the party are older
Her side is younger
very little middle
the wedding party: hers are all under 20 mostly way under, he only has 2 ppl ( 5 total ) of about 30 ppl
Many of the requested songs are on the cd SHREK

This is a great one. My DJ did it at my wedding and I've done it several times since. People love it but let the bride and groom know ahead of time. They will let you know who it will work best on.
Step 1
Get a group of guys together on the dance floor. (can be all the single guys, the guys in the wedding party, or a list the bride gives you)
Step 2
Tell them your teaching them a new dance move that's sweeping the nation (I always go with hands on the knees, then slide to the left, then slide to the right, most important part of the dance is the last part when you tell them FREESTYLE and they get to break it on down and do whatever they want)
Step 3
Start the music and tell walk them through it once
Step 4
Tell them that they now have to try it blind folded and use table napkins to blind fold them, spread them out far enough they won't hit each other.
Step 5
While they are dancing with the music on, slowly remove everyone's blind fold except one person
Step 6
Tell them to break it on down and watch that person make a fool of themselves. After a couple minutes tell everyone (really only one person) to remove their blind fold and pass it to the person to their left
Works every time! I have this on my wedding video and if you want to see it shoot me a message and I can try to cut that part out and send it to you.
