Topic: Hardware Acceleration Causes latency. Cn I fix this?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I have been trying to figure out what is causing latency when I run videos. I run the latency checker and it goes into the red at 400+ when I run videos. I took off the hardware acceleration in VDJ and then latency checker shows no problem. Some features do not run with hardware acceleration off so how do I fix the DPC latency checker from not going in to the red when running videos?
I am using Geforce 8800M GTX video card.

sorry, I should have been clearer..

do they meet the RECOMMENDED specs for video mixing
The recommended configuration to mix video is:
Dual Core 2 GhZ CPU
ATI or nVidia video card w/256Mb of Dedicated DDR3 memory (dual output capable)
2048 MB RAM

What is your CPU usage like?

(I have never used the latency checker, so +4000 means nothing to me)

8 series nvidia won't work correctly on xp it needs at least dx10
