My weekly residency is not far away, so............
..........leave the house every Friday & Sunday at 9.30pm precisely, drive approx. 4 miles to gig, arrive at around 9.37pm, setup laptop and RMX and wire everything up including Video, fire up laptop & VDJ and have Videos playing by 9.50pm (officially start at 10pm)
Gotta say it's all down to routine procedures in setting up. I do the same routine in the same order every night I work, which means I can do it on autopilot if necessary, I could probably do it blindfolded. :-)

I fit my Xponent, zero4, trigger finger, 2 laptops, headphones, external HD, cables and power sources in one flight case and a backpack. Ppl crack up when they see me set up. It's like Mary Poppins pulling lamps out of her bag. :P
I feel you on the autopilot thing though... It's even easier for me cause I have one backpack pocket for power sources, one for cables etc etc... so I just do gear, then power, then usb/firewire cables, then TRS cables... and I'm done . Esp @ a club with a house system I have experience with.
