Got a bit sick of the unreliability of my CDX's and went back to using 1200s. Problem is I played at an old house tonight with wooden floor and could hardly get any bass into the mix before I started getting feedback through the needles. Using M44G needles.
Any mobile guys using 1200s with timecodes? How do you combat the feedback with old wooden floors (other than using cd players of course ;)

This solution will work perfectly if you dont scratch. What I have done in that situation is to use something i saw in a dj magazine some time ago. Get yourself (8) empty standard size tuna cans and wrap 8-12 one inch wide r ubberbands around each one and place them underneath the turntables feet. This will eliminate all but the most extreme bass as well as the crowd jumping up and down. I hope this helps because its a very easy and cheap to sovle this problem.
