Topic: Hercules RMX Issue

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

When I load up a track with the bass, mid, and treble turned down the track will play with full bass. Then when I start raising the knob the bass cuts and builds as usual. How can I get a track to load with settings the knobs are set to and not default to standard. Or do I have to reset the knobs each time before loading a track? This also happens with the cue/mix knob. When I start out with knob on mix and play first track, sometimes i have to slightly turn the knob to get any audio. Why is this?

Thank you.

This is probably because you have CONFIG -> Options -> Reset EQ on Load enabled.

When enabled, the EQ will reset back to normal each time you load a song, so that the position of the software EQ knobs no-longer match the actual hardware ones on the RMX. To avoid this, disable the above option.

You should also disable Pitch Reset on Load and Auto Pitch Matching if you beat match manually using the pitch sliders.

The RMX does not send the position of its knobs at start-up, so you should ensure that all sliders/knobs are in their default initial positions before starting VirtualDJ, i.e: Pitch sliders, crossfader, EQ and gain knobs in the middle and volume sliders at maximum.
