Topic: Oh No!!! Just Upgraded to 3.0 and .... - Page: 1

This part of topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information

80% of the tracks have lost their BPM info. Does this mean I have to rescan all files again?

Very strange ... Do you have a backup of your database ?

What are your settings in the 3.0 ?

hmm

really strange

assuming that its written as VDJ idtag to file, when using 2.1, try this :

Turn ON read idtags in settings, see if that makes VDJ read back the bpm values

Just did it but nothing still.

look in VDJ folder, see if there is made a backup of database when installing ?

Sort folder by date... to see if that happened today

Are there more than one database?

Which database? MP3? VDJ Database?

VDJ database... the XML file

It has been updated with today's upgrade.

Its updated each time you run vdj, so if you ran vdj today (as you did) its updated today...

BUT, do you have a copy of the database?

Anyway, reported it to Dev Team. Hopefully they can help you. I dont know why this has happened to you

What I did to fix it was that I noticed that there were to database files. One was named " VirtualDJ Database.xml" and another "VirtualDJ Database(XXXXXXX).xml, the "xxxx" being a username. I had to delete the VirtualDJ Database.xml, created a copy of the VirtualDJ Databes(XXXXX).xml and rename to VirtualDJ Database.xml and problem was resolved.
