Topic: Vestax VCI-100 pitch bend and vinyl mode bug

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

This is an update to an earlier post (see bottom for link), since I have learned a bit more now.

I have the latest trial of VirtualDJ - 6.07, and there seems to be a bug with two items:

Jog wheel / pitch bend:
- when moving the edge of the jog wheel continuously for a few seconds, the pitch bend amount increases (correctly, as intended)
- BUT, when releasing (stopping spinning the jog dial), the pitch stays "bent" at that very high (or very low) level - it does not return to normal
- how do I adjust the VDJscript to tell the pitch bend to return to normal (zero) after I stop spinning the jog dial around?

Vinyl mode button:
- the vinyl mode button does not do anything
- I have tested this using MIDI LEARN but nothing registers when pressing the vinyl mode button
- is this a bug? I need this button to toggle vinyl mode on and off.

This is a serious issue for me since I cannot accurately test the software to decide to purchase if the pitch bend acts like this.
Since I am on a trial, I cannot download other users' xml MIDI maps to see if these fix the problem.

As for the vinyl mode: it is also important to have the ability to switch vinyl mode on and off, because very often I accidentally touch the metal part of the dial, activating a scratch when I am trying to do a pitch bend.

Please help / advise! Thanks!
