Hey guys, I'm having an issue with ground loop static interference with my laptop and my new speakers. Ive got a gig Tomorrow (Sat.) and the voltage filter I ordered wont be in until next week. I've read on here about buying a 3 to 2 prong adapter that will "lit" the ground from the laptop plug. I just wanted to know how safe is this, Am I endangering my equipment/laptop/self from doing this? If it works Im down and would only need to do it once. Thanks for the help!

Or you could try one of these

I had to use one when I used my old RMX in one particular venue. It worked very well.

I actually picked one of those up from radio shack, but I don't have any adapters/extensions for the RCA ans its much too short to connect directly from RXM to speakers =(. I didn't realize it was male to male fak. lol. Im going to search around town for something today.

I just use a 3 prong to 2 prong adapter on the power supply of my Dell M6400. Works like a champ.

Thank you,

Got it all figured out, just ran by home depot and got some RCA Extensions. Performed a sound check and all is good in the neighborhood =D
