I had a major video freeze issue until recently. I was solved by Dj Cel who suggested limiting the memory usage of the video card via the registry tool. Thus far this has worked like a charm, however, I have noticed that if I attempt to deactivate the video output from the config menu I am unable to reactivate without restarting my computer.
Mind you, I have had no other freeze issues nor crashes but it's almost as though the programme is holding my video card hostage. Whatever is on the screen at the time will remain there and any attempt to reactivate the video output via the activate and hardware accel checkboxes result in a "error in video driver"message.
Has anyone else encountered similar activity, especially anyone who had freeze issues prior?
