Topic: VST Compatibility

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I would like to check before I purchase this software that VST format is supported within OS X.
After downloading the demo I am not able to use VST effects, so I would like to confirm that it is possible before I buy.

The virtual DJ and not compatible with VST plugins. Maybe in a near future...
 
then why the heck does the VDJ site list "VST effects compatibility" as one of the features of VDJ6 pro?
 
VirtualDJ does support VST effects.

The windows version supports VST effects. Windows VST effects are dlls and these will not work under OSX. There are OSX VSTs apparently, but I don't know if VDJ supports OSX VSTs.
