Topic: MPG Video error still exists in version 6.7

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

so far 2 updates that have functionality i could really use are usuless to me. No updates to the issue have been provided in the forum or in support tickets place. Please...someone! I can't update the software and have over 1000 files become useless.

Obvious question, but have you tried switching codecs?

Yes. That was the first thing i tried... i had revert back to 6.4 again and all the files play without a problem. If you have something specific i should try, please let me know.

What did you switch it to? Make sure there is a DirectShow codec installed that is capable of playing the video, then change VDJ to use Windows Media Video Decoder. Might work as a workaround maybe?

that's actually what I tried. No luck. Can others that have reported this problem tell me if something is working for you?

Can you post a link to the thread where you first brought this up..
(no use asking the same questions again right? LOL)

Hi agathree

Try BPM Re-Scaning your files, I had this issues with some of mine and they all worked after I did the BPM scan.

Good Luck

Joey....

i will try that, thanks.

I had the same problem. I found a weird solution. It worked.
I rename the files through the software TAG&RENAME.
Try it.

i'll try that too

Keep a back up if you can before trying any fixs out, never know it may just go bottoms up...
