Ok so here is my problem.....When im recording everything sounds great running smooth and after im finished recording I go to the recorded file and open it to listen to it and i can hear both tracks playing but not when im recording until I use the crossfader and switch over. Anyone know what could be making this happen and yes i have the crossfader option disabled.

Are you using an exturnal mixer? if so, are you running it into your mic input (I'm assuming yes if its a laptop) before you record you need to go into config and select your input source and that should fix it. Not sure about the details but I know you have to change your source. Hope this helps.
 
yes im running an external mixer but no turntables atm so what should i put my inputs into if not using tables? My settings are Inputs - none outputs - external mixer Sound card- Maya44USB
 
i m also having the same problem. im using a behinger vmx300 on a laptop with the numark dj io. when i am recording it sounds fine. but when i lisen back. u cant hear the tunes being fading in a out just both at full volume. half way thru a track playin aswell if i decide to play another tune in my head phones that also showson the recording
 
 
that still doesnt help mate. i connect using usb not throught the line in n cant record propper. what can i do. thought vdj would be better than this to be honest or is it my config
